Meatsitter is a versatile remote control application designed for use with the Meatsitter wireless Bluetooth thermometer. It enables users to conveniently monitor the temperature of both their cooking device and the food being prepared from a distance. Notably, the app doesn't require the Meatsitter device for operation.

One of the key features of the app is its functionality as a practical cooking timer, complete with voice notifications, vibrations, and popup alerts. Furthermore, it comes preloaded with USDA-recommended internal temperatures for a variety of foods, simplifying the cooking process. Users can easily select the type of food they are preparing and insert the premium Type K Oven Needle Thermocouple Probe provided into their food to receive timely alerts on their phone when the desired internal temperature is reached.

What sets Meatsitter apart is its dual alarm system, allowing users to utilize advanced cooking techniques such as reverse searing by flipping their steak at precisely the right moment. The real-time interaction with each alarm enhances the precision and control over the cooking process.

The Meatsitter device offers versatility in power supply options, accommodating either 2 AA batteries or a mini USB cord with a 5V power adapter. Unlike many other cooking thermometers available, Meatsitter is equipped with industry-standard type K mini thermocouple connectors. This feature enables the use of various probe lengths for different cooking applications, including oven, BBQ, saucepan, sous vide, liquid, and air probes.

Noteworthy is Meatsitter's capability to monitor both food and grill temperatures remotely within your Wi-Fi range using two smartphones. By connecting one phone to Meatsitter via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and utilizing another device running the Meatsitter app directly connected to the first phone via Wi-Fi, users can access real-time temperature updates without the need for an independent IoT gateway.
